UPDATE: We just received word that Venus sent an email to TennisSF a few days ago, asking for their assistance in tracking down other possible victims of Mariano del Rosario’s schemes. It will be interesting to see how they handle the situation. Will they ignore it? Will they do whatever it takes to protect their members?
I’m guessing that Mariano (or “Mario”) is always working some kind of angle with everyone he meets. I’d be pissed if I was a member of TennisSF, met del Rosario through the tennis club, loaned him money or invested in one of his “business ventures,” lost my money, and then found out that the club administrators knew he was a problem. Here’s hoping Mariano del Rosario is “inspired” to repay her and clean up his act, or that she is able to locate enough victims to make prosecution inevitable (in the US and in the Philippines)…

A very interesting comment was posted a few days ago re Mariano del Rosario, and I didn’t want it to get lost or go without notice:

I worked for Mario in 1988 – 91 when he was the I/T Director at Concorde Trading Co. in Hartford, IL. You think he’s shifty now…. I have one word. WOW!! you should have seen him at work back in the 80’s.
One year a co-worker and I were both skipped over getting a raise. Mario told me to submit an Invoice to our employer for Contractor Labor with 50 hours at $40/hr. When the CFO saw this bill he pulled me and my co-worker into a conference room and threatened us with legal action.
I informed the CFO that Mario told us this is the only way we were going to receive our bonus. The CFO was “pissed off”. The next day the CFO hand delivered us checks and informed us Mario was going to have to answer to the board for his actions.
So in my eyes Mario has also been very untrustworthy and it appears by this blog he has not stopped.
I am so happy you will not giving up! I watch this story for one month and I was very upsetting when I read you will stop for Mariano del Rosario. I know man like him who steal five thousand dollar from me and I will never get back from him. Is good to watch man like that have problem even if he is not my man. I will ask you for help but he is in Moscow and I know he will not care what someone say about him on internet. Please keep the help for this woman until she have her money from this terrible man! I like your blog.

I know its not right to wish for bad things to happen to somebody but its really hard not to want bad things to happen to Mariano del Rosario. I hope a lot of people find your blog and tell their stories about him! He needs to be stopped so he can’t make problems for any body else for as long as he lives!! I had BIG problems when I wrote a bad check that I did not even know it was bad. Rich people do bad things all the time ON PURPOSE and nothing happens to them for that. I am glad you are still talking about Mariano del Rosario and I hope you can help Venus get her money back. This is a good thing to do for a blog. Jen

Did anything happen with Mariano del Rosario? Its been a long time since you wrote anything. I hope he is paying Venus her money and he didn’t get a chance to steal from the people at his tennis club!
